The GICS sector is consist of 11 different sectors and hear is the box plot chart that represents total revenue distributed over all GICS sectors. But the outliers value have been hidden to preserve the clarity & readability of chart. The summery statistics shows that the maximum total revenue value goes to consumer staples sector that generate $468 Billions (as an outlier) which was under the industry of Hypermarkets & Super Centers. While the minimum total revenue value unexpectedly, was in the same sector counted of 1.5 Million under the industry of Personal products. Consequently, Consumer staples become with the highest range compared to other GICS sectors. In addition, this sector has the highest total revenue equal to $1.388 Trillion. However, the median was the second highest value after the median of Telecommunication services sector. Similarly, the standard deviation was about $85 billions that comes after the highest standard deviation ($93 billions) of energy sector. This means that the Consumer staples sector has almost many variety and differences in its sub industries, which could make the investment choice more confused for investors.
