During the last three decades urban growth has been very rapid in almost all Arab countries, especially in oil-producing countries in the Arabian Gulf region. In case of Saudi Arabia, Dammam Metropolitan Area (DMA) has faced an unprecedented rapid and massive urbanization. Although such rapid urbanization was of some economic advantages, it has created a web of serious urban and environmental problems. Hence, the scale of this project is focusing on one urban center in DMA, and that is Al Khobar City, which is considered very essential city in Saudi Arabia, and in the eastern province in particular due to its sensitive location and economic role. And the purpose of this project is to study and propose some alternative plans that seeking to contribute solving some existing urban problems. Where was the intention of this project is to study and predict the size of urban growth in most urban sectors until 2030, when the Saudi 2030 vision is expected to be accomplished. However, because the luck of time and some limitations, this project has not addressed and investigated all urban issues.
